Teach iCMTGIS to students

A number of educators have indicated that they will be teaching iCMTGIS to their students. The iCMTGIS app is ideal for getting the students’ feet wet in the world of GIS data collection. The user-friendly interface removes the fear that some students may have about GPS and GIS. The Feature/Attribute/Value database structure will help them learn how to organize their data to optimize the result of their data collection effort. It is gratifying to see the recorded Features on top of a background map, complete with the associated attribution. The Traverse function will let them record new points by entering angles and distances. It is easy to import and export the data in Shapefile format. The large display screen of the iPAD also helps, of course.
