Would it be possible to shift a Feature on the map?

At the present time consumer-grade GPS devices do not provide high-accuracy position readings. If you find that a Point, Line or Area Feature that you have recorded by using GPS data collection is somewhat off, you could shift it to the desired location by using the Offset function in iCMTGIS II or iGPSGIS II.

To do so, highlight the Feature then tap the Feature Properties icon. Tap the “No Offset” button, select the Point option then enter the desired distance and angle information.

The PC-GIS PRO mapping software also provides the Offset function. In fact, it will even let you move a node around or insert or cut a node as necessary to fine-tune the shape of a Line or Area Feature.
