Using Google Earth Pro with PC-GIS

“I am having trouble getting google earth to open through the program. the version I have is, Google Earth Pro 7.1.5.1557.”

We touched upon this issue previously.

Google Earth Pro does not register itself to your PC system. Google Earth does, and it shares the registry with Google Earth Pro. Therefore, to install or update Google Earth Pro, you will need to first uninstall Google Earth and Google Earth Pro, then install Google Earth. Then you can install Google Earth Pro and have it connect properly to our PC software.

The procedure for using Google Earth Pro with PC-GIS 09 or PC-GIS X is:
Run Google Earth Pro.
In PC-GIS 09 do Utilities/Google Earth – Launch Google Earth.
In Google Earth Pro, zoom in to the area of interest.
In PC-GIS 09, do Utilities/Google Earth – Capture Image.

(Same for PC-GPS 09, PC-MAPPER 09, PC-MAPPER AI and CMT-Forester 10.)

You can use PC-GIS or PC-GIS X to convert the saved image to .pim file format for use in the iGPSGIS II, iCMTGIS II/III/PRO, Farming GPS GIS II/III, Forester GPS GIS II/III and Utility Data Collection apps.
