Is the iPhone GPS accurate?

“I am looking at purchasing your Deed Calls – Grid – Stakeout app for my iPhone to help me find my property boundary stakes from an old survey. Does it use the GPS off the iPhone? Is that typically accurate enough to get started? Or do you recommend some other GPS devise to use. If so, any suggestions that are reasonable priced?”

The app can use the GPS off the iPhone. It is not quite accurate, probably around 10 meters. Many users purchase the Dual XGPS 150-A or the Bad Elf GPS to get 2 – 5 m accuracy. These are relatively inexpensive. So, if you think you will be able to find a stake within an area of 30 ft x 30 ft, then use your iPhone GPS. If you only want to search within an area of 15 ft x 15 ft, then get the Dual or Bad Elf receiver. You could try it first using just the iPhone and see how it goes.
