Just purchased today with my iPhone. Would like to put on my iPad as well. How to do that?

Many of our apps can be used on iPad and iPhone devices, a few are for iPad devices only, and iGPSGIS II is for use on iPhone devices.

Per information provided by Apple, if you use the same Apple ID on your iPad as your iPhone, you should be able to download the app that you have purchased onto your iPad as well, if you enable Family Sharing.

I want to know how many devices can be used with the same account

According to Apple, “You can have ten devices (no more than five of them computers) associated with your Apple ID and iTunes at one time.”

OK to upgrade to iOS 12.0?

“I just bought the IcmtGis Pro software today and I did install it on my Iphone 6s. I created new jobs and stored some points in it. When using the e-mail file functionality, I see only default jobs that were in the system but I do not see my newly created jobs. . . . I am running IOS 11.4.1 ready to upgrade to 12.0 but I did not want to screw things even more with the upgrade to 12.0 … Any suggestion on the fact that I should upgrade to 12.0 or I should not?”

It’s likely that you have the app set up to store data to iCloud. Please read the article at the following link.

It is all right to upgrade to iOS 12.

Charges on apps sold via the Apple App Store

“I bought this program and no longer need it and want to remove the future charge to my credit card, can you please respond with the procedure to do this.”

The software license for the Deed Calls & Stakeout app is a one-time purchase. Same with all of our other apps. There should be no future charge to your credit card for this app.

Our iOS apps are sold via the Apple App Store, and we do not deal with sales and payments. If you still have concerns, please contact the App Store.

Will Stakeout iCMT use the external GPS?

“I am using an iPad. Does Stakeout use the gps in the iPad or can it get it directly from the Arrow?”

When an iOS compatible GPS receiver is turned on and connected to the iPad, it will automatically override the built-in GPS to update CoreLocation. When you toggle GPS on in an app like Stakeout iCMT, the app will grab the position data from CoreLocation. In other words, the app uses the Arrow GPS data indirectly.

Of the various CMT apps, only iCMTGIS PRO provides the ability to get the GPS data directly from the Arrow and the iSXBlue GNSS receivers. In the “Enable the External GPS” mode, iCMTGIS PRO will read the NMEA data directly from these GPS receivers.

Which iPhone app for building fence dividing property in half?

If you have the latitude and longitude coordinates for the end points of the division line, you could use Stakeout iCMT to enter those points then create a line joining those two points. Then you can use the Line Stakeout function in this app to help you walk along this line and put in the fence.

If you need to divide the property in half, then you could get the Partition & Stakeout app. After digitizing the property boundary, use the Direction Cut function in this app to divide the property into two equal parts then put in the fence along the boundary line.

The accuracy of the placement of the fence will depend on the GPS receiver that you use. For accurate work, you will need to use a high-precision GPS receiver. The GPS receiver on your iPhone is not quite accurate.

PDF copy of the Help document for CMT iOS app

“I purchased the Stakeout app for my iPhone 6s. I believe it is exactly what I need. The help file is very complete and well written, however, it is hard to read and move around in on the small screen of my iPhone. Is it possible to download a pdf copy of this file?”

Yes, a PDF copy of the Help documents for our apps is available. Please email your request to: support@cmtinc.com
